Brass and Woodwind students of all ages and abilities are welcome at our teaching studio. We prepare students for AMEB exams, University Entry, Extension Music, or invite them to improve their playing ability and have some fun.
Karina is a practising French Horn and Trombone player, whose experience includes playing for the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Brisbane Symphony Orchestra and Royal Australian Navy Band. She has been teaching privately and in schools for over twenty years and has seen many of her students successfully audition for both the Qld Conservatorium of Music and the University of Queensland.
Tony is a saxophonist and clarinettist whose experience includes playing in the Royal Australian Navy Band and the Brisbane Big Band. He enjoys teaching both classical and jazz and has worked in schools and with private students for over twenty years. Tony has prepared students for tertiary entry and exams up to A.Mus.A.
Steven is a percussionist in his final years of high school and was one of five percussionist chosen to attend M.O.S.T. in 2015. He is currently preparing for his A.Mus.A in percussion. Steven has tutored younger students at workshops and enjoys helping students starting out to develop the skills required to be proficient on both tuned and untuned percussion.
Our students have been successful in passing AMEB exams, Extension Music Exams and University Entry. In addition, many of our students have been selected as members of the Young Conservatorium program and Queensland Youth Orchestras.
